Training on occupational safety and health (OSH) to GMAC on 27th Jul 2012

Cambodia Business Coalition on AIDs (CBCA) conducted the training to Garment Manufacturers Association in Cambodia (GMAC) on 28th Jul 2012. The training was participated from the management of factory including: E GARMENT CO., LTD., FWKK (Cambodia) Limited, Global Apparels Limited, Maurea Garments Corp, Quantum Apparel, Quantum Clothing, Reliable Source , TIGER WING, W.LINGERIE & UNDERWEAR FACTORY, Wincam Corporation, and Ocean Garment Co., Ltd within 14 participants.

The aim of this training is to train the management of each factory on Introduction to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) (what is OSH?, history of OSH, why OSH is important for the company/factory, OSH convention and guideline, introduction to OSH manage system, understanding occupational risk, hazard and accidents, OSH related issue and risk assessment, and what the company can do to address OSH risks at the workplace).

At the opening of the training Mr. Ly Tekheng, Operational Manager of GMAC expressed his briefing welcome on this valuable training and he hoped that after completed this training the participants will understand the important of OSH especially they could share and train to the staff in their factory.

At the end of the training Mr. Ly Tekheng, Mr. Chun Bora the Executive Director of CBCA, and participant took photo together.
